Job hunting tips – my top 5

keyboard-job hunt

First off, apologies for the lack of posts lately – 2017 has been very busy so far! I’ve been ticking away at work and study so my free time has been limited lately, I’m living for the summer already 🙂 But the summer will likely be a busy time for me too, as I will be starting a new job! I’m very excited for a new challenge, but the process of applying for jobs and attending interviews can be time consuming and stressful. With that in mind, I thought I would share with you all some job hunting tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the past few years. Continue reading “Job hunting tips – my top 5”

Edinburgh is a great city to visit for a short trip, and you can pack quite a lot in in a few days. Here are my top five recommendations for things to do in Edinburgh. New Year, not so new resolutions

sea-view_wexford_2017

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas break with family and friends. I had such a nice and relaxing break, topped off with a few days in Wexford for New Year’s taking in some fab sea views.

Now that we’re at the start of 2017, I know a lot of people are into making new year resolutions. To be honest none of these have ever really stuck for me. Continue reading “New Year, not so new resolutions”

New adventures

First off, apologies for my lack of posts lately – life has been pretty crazy lately between work, college and the run up to Christmas! Things are starting to wind down now, so I’m looking forward to taking some time to chill out over Christmas and see family and friends who may have forgotten what I look like 😉

In other news, the end of 2016 has been pretty exciting for me as I have just moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend. Continue reading “New adventures”

I was driving home on Saturday evening after a busy day in college and came across these pretty awesome clouds. I had been feeling absolutely knackered after a busy week of work and college, so when I stopped in the village at home I just took a minute to take in these pretty clouds.  Continue reading “Pink clouds and positive vibes”

Should you have laser eye surgery?

For those of you that have been following my blog over the past few of months, you will know that I recently made the decision to have laser eye surgery. It’s now been almost three months since I had my surgery at Optilase, so I thought an update was due on how I’m finding life without glasses. Hopefully this post will also be of help to anyone who is on the fence about having laser eye surgery! Continue reading “Should you have laser eye surgery?”

Coping with the stresses of a busy schedule

As I’ve mentioned in some of my blog posts recently (which have been less frequent than I’d like!), I’m completing a part-time masters course in marketing while working full-time. While I’m definitely enjoying the course so far, I am finding the new busier schedule quite hectic and somewhat stressful. Continue reading “Coping with the stresses of a busy schedule”

Life lately, according to photos

While I’m getting used to my busier schedule of work and college I’ve sadly been neglecting my blog. To get back into the swing of things I thought I would share some photos I’ve snapped on my phone recently, to show what I’ve gotten up to in the last month! Back to school

What a month so far! This September has been an extremely busy one with Electric Picnic, work events and birthday celebrations (I turned 26 last weekend!). What has made it even busier is that I have decided to go back to school part time. Continue reading “Back to school”

An Electric Weekend

Another year, another Electric Picnic added to my festival belt! My body has recovered from my few nights of camping last week and I had a really great weekend checking out some brilliant performances and soaking up the festival vibes with my friends. Continue reading “An Electric Weekend”

I’m getting very excited for Electric Picnic next weekend! Bought myself a really good (and colourful) tent for the festival which we practised putting up this weekend – think it’s safe to say we won’t lose it at EP! I’m going to post about the highlights of the weekend after the festival, here’s hoping there’s loads 😊🎉🎤

Laser eye surgery – have I any regrets?

IMG_8399My essentials for the week, eye drops and shades!

Last weekend I had my laser eye surgery in Optilase and I am so glad that I did. Within just one day I went from having pretty poor eyesight to near 20/20 vision! I’ve had a couple of questions relating to my procedure, so I thought I would go through my prep and how I’ve been getting on in my first week post-surgery. Continue reading “Laser eye surgery – have I any regrets?”
